We moved here in 2007 to enjoy the beautiful quiet countryside of the Ariege and the wonderful French way of life after having led very busy working lives.
Tom was working in the EU dairy industry and spent much time trading with mainland Europe. He speaks French and German as does Trish.
Tom is an excellent cook and table d’hote is available by arrangement. Vegetarian meals can also be provided upon request.
Trish ran a very successful piano school in the UK and still does a small amount of teaching. We intend to organise piano courses in small groups for those who are interested in studying for the piano teaching diploma or individual tuition for students studying grade exams, lapsed pianists who wish to refresh their skills, or those who wish to study a particular piece of music during their holiday. The Bluthner grand piano is a wonderful instrument to practise on!!! - please do enquire if piano lessons may be of interest. See Special Breaks for further information.
We are happy to arrange holidays around events such as the Tour de France or others such as the Medieval Music festival at Roquefixade in August, the piano festival at the Jacobins in Toulouse in September, the apple festival at Mirepoix in October, the tree festival, the chestnut festival, the wine festival etc. etc., the transhumance in the autumn ...... any requests carefully considered. We aim to please!
