Come and join us for BED AND BREAKFAST in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Ariege, the department where the sun shines 300 days a year.
Our lovely house, which is built in the local traditional style, is situated on a south facing slope with wonderful views of the mountains and lies between Lavelanet and the departmental town of Foix, well known for its castle dating back to 1000 AD.
From our house you can see the chateau of Montsegur and the chateau of Roquefixade is in the next village. The famed Cathar Way passes behind our gardens providing immediate access to 250km of wonderful walking trails through the Languedoc countryside. In the winter, the nearest ski resort is just 25 minutes away.
The local villages are wonderful to meander through or spend time in, relaxing and soaking up the timeless atmosphere. There are many outdoor markets supplying fresh produce and plenty of bars and restaurants to while away an hour over a coffee.
There are two options for accommodation at Las Coumeilles;
Bed and Breakfast - accommodation for up to 8 guests within the principal house
or
Maison Pujol - A recently renovated lovely four bedroom village house sleeping 6/7 guests in the village of Leychert, just a few minutes walk from Las Coumeilles.
Both properties are non-smoking and pets cannot be catered for.
